Signature Autosports, a US-based restoration and engineering shop, has revealed renderings for the Meridian 911 — an off-road-focused restomod built on a classic air-cooled Porsche 911. Where Singer keeps its 911 restorations firmly on the tarmac, Signature is chasing the safari-spec trend set off by cars like the Porsche 911 Dakar and Lamborghini Huracan Sterrato, wrapping a raised, rugged body around a fully custom powertrain.
The car rides on aftermarket suspension for a taller stance, paired with all-terrain tires, high-strength skid plates, reinforced bumpers, hood-mounted spotlights, and a roof rack carrying four auxiliary lights. Power comes from a built 3.8-liter naturally aspirated flat-six featuring Pauter rods, 102mm Molly Motorsports pistons and cylinders, CNC-ported billet heads, titanium valve springs, a carbon fiber intake, and independent throttle bodies.
Unlike a simple visual kit, Signature Autosports says it will handle the entire build in-house — powertrain engineering, metal fabrication, custom wiring, and upholstery — with heavy customization available to each buyer. The car exists only as renderings for now, and pricing or a production timeline haven't been confirmed, but the concept signals growing demand for engineered, off-road 911 restomods beyond factory-backed programs.
For HPP's customers, the Meridian 911 is a reminder that restomod demand is shifting toward fully engineered packages — suspension, chassis protection, and built engines — rather than cosmetic kits alone, a trend increasingly visible across the European performance and off-road tuning markets.
